Have you ever seen anything more amazing than these blue velvet booties?
They scream Christmas party season and they were screaming my name, so I had to pick them up and bring them to a wonderful new home with all of my other babies waiting to welcome them into the shoedrobe.
One thing that really made these that little bit different for me was the round heel. Not many shoes have this and I think the feature is the perfect way to add something different to what would be a simple silhouette.
For me, I always used to live in heeled ankle boots. Whether I was going to uni, work or just shopping and lunch. They’re what I lived in and I rarely wore anything else apart from the odd flat loafer here and there. However, recently I have only ever opted for trainers. I think that’s due to the fact I now walk everywhere I go and don’t get a lift in a car all of the time.
As much as I do love trainers, and my collection is growing more than what I could’ve expected, I really do miss wearing heels. I only ever same them for special occasions but I do want to start whipping them out more often. I have so many and I have lugged them all to Budapest with me that it would be such a shame (and a waste of space) for me to not wear them more.
